18 Then the spirit7307 came upon3847 853 Amasai,6022 who was chief7218 of the captains,7991 and he said, Thine are we, David,1732 and on thy side,5973 thou son1121 of Jesse:3448 peace,7965 peace7965 be unto thee, and peace7965 be to thine helpers;5826 for3588 thy God430 helpeth5826 thee. Then David1732 received6901 them, and made5414 them captains7218 of the band.1416

19 And there fell5307 some of4480 Manasseh4519 to5921 David,1732 when he came935 with5973 the Philistines6430 against5921 Saul7586 to battle:4421 but they helped5826 them not:3808 for3588 the lords5633 of the Philistines6430 upon advisement6098 sent him away,7971 saying,559 He will fall5307 to413 his master113 Saul7586 to the jeopardy of our heads.7218

20 As he went1980 to413 Ziklag,6860 there fell5307 to5921 him of Manasseh,4480 4519 Adnah,5734 and Jozabad,3107 and Jediael,3043 and Michael,4317 and Jozabad,3107 and Elihu,453 and Zilthai,6769 captains7218 of the thousands505 that834 were of Manasseh.4519

21 And they1992 helped5826 5973 David1732 against5921 the band1416 of the rovers: for3588 they were all3605 mighty men1368 of valor,2428 and were1961 captains8269 in the host.6635

22 For3588 at that time6256 day3117 by day3117 there came935 to5921 David1732 to help5826 him, until5704 it was a great1419 host,4264 like the host4264 of God.430

23 And these428 are the numbers4557 of the bands7218 that were ready armed2502 to the war,6635 and came935 to5921 David1732 to Hebron,2275 to turn5437 the kingdom4438 of Saul7586 to413 him, according to the word6310 of the LORD.3068

19 Когда Давуд пошёл с филистимлянами воевать против Шаула, к нему перешли некоторые из рода Манассы. (Давуд и его люди не помогали филистимлянам, потому что их правители, посоветовавшись, отослали его прочь. Они сказали: «Если он перейдёт к своему господину Шаулу, то это нам будет стоить головы».)

20 Когда Давуд возвращался в Циклаг, из рода Манассы к нему перешли: Аднах, Иозавад, Иедиаил, Микаил, Иозавад, Элиху и Циллетай – тысяченачальники манасситов.

21 Они помогали Давуду отражать набеги грабителей, потому что все они были отважными воинами и полководцами в его войске.

38 Все эти воины боевым строем пришли в Хеврон, исполненные воли сделать Давуда царём над всем Исраилом. И все остальные исраильтяне единодушно решили сделать Давуда царём.

39 Они пробыли там у Давуда три дня, ели и пили, потому что их семьи снабдили их запасами.
